Milk Silo Tanks

Milk tanks are insulated tanks for storing raw milk. They are usually stored in large vertical milk silo tanks (bunkers) with a volume of 500 m3. With the help of side mixers, it acts to prevent the formation of raw milk cream. The angular bottom provides a good output. The heat transfer surface draws more heat from the milk at the same time than other tanks and creates a higher cooling surface which provides optimum cooling with a smaller amount of milk in the horizontal direction. Achieve maximum cooling performance and maintain temperature even if the tower is not 100 percent full. A strong internal evaporator maintains the temperature. Mueller Milk Tower provides maximum product protection, allowing you to deliver the highest quality milk. The range of milk silo tanks for the milk bunker is designed to meet the cooling needs of large dairy farms with a capacity of 12,000 to 32,000 liters. You can choose the most suitable capacity for your farm from a variety of sizes and shapes and from the tank size that is right for your existing milk room.

All tanks are manufactured in ISO 9001: 2015 certified production facilities using strict process control. The epoxy-coated milk silo tanks made of glass and steel are coated in the factory in environmental conditions, providing quality and durability. Food and NSF coatings and construction are available.

Features of Milk Silo Tanks
• Custom design, specially designed for special spatial and application requirements.
• 5,000 to 80,000 gallons to suit any capacity you need, can be used with heat exchangers or electric heating.
• Choose from a conventional CIP spray system or a specially designed CIP spray system.
• Integrated vertical or horizontal mixing, our unique base design, internally or externally, provides unparalleled support and longer design life.
• Additional designs include a plate, flat or conical bottom portions or side ends that fit on the legs, available in a single shell, insulated and sheathed.
• Various exterior coatings are available, including stainless steel packaging and painted carbon steel, it performs at the highest level for your application and process.
• Reliable protection for your product, robust construction, economic, meets or exceeds 3A and USDA standards.

Strong Tanks
Milk containers are classified as storage and are described in Chapter 5, Milk Collection and Collection. Sizes range from 25,000 to 150,000 liters and the wetted surfaces are made of stainless steel. They are usually kept outdoors to save construction costs. In these cases, the milk silo tanks are isolated. Mineral wool insulated, at least 70 mm thick bivalve. The outer shell may be stainless steel, but for economic reasons it is usually made of mild steel and coated with an anti-corrosion paint. To facilitate full evacuation, the bottom of the tank is tilted downwards with an inclination of approximately 6% to the outlet. The silos are equipped with various types of mixers and instrumentation. The number and size of the bunkers are determined by daily milk consumption, the number of days spent during the working week, the number of hours spent during the working day (one, two or three shifts), the number of different products to be produced and the quantities involved.
